    Libby expected to plead not guilty

    WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney's former top aide, Lewis "Scooter" Libby, was expected to plead not guilty on Thursday to charges stemming from the CIA leak probe, raising the specter of a trial that anti-war Democrats hope will keep the spotlight on the administration's case for war in Iraq.

    J&J May Not Complete $25.4B Guidant Deal

    INDIANAPOLIS - Johnson & Johnson warned Wednesday it might pull out of a $25.4 billion deal to buy Guidant Corp. because of potential liability arising from the medical device maker's sweeping product recalls and a regulatory investigation. But Guidant officials said J&J was legally bound to go through with the deal.

    Iraq Invites Ex-Officers to Join New Army

    Citrus County teacher accused of affair with student

    CRYSTAL RIVER - For the second time in three days, a bay area teacher is facing charges following accusations of a sexual affair with a student. Citrus County detectives say Amy Lilley, a 36-year-old vocational teacher at Lecanto High School, admitted to carrying on a two-month relationship with a 15-year-old female student.

    Three to face trial together in Xbox slayings

    DAYTONA BEACH - Three men charged in the 2004 beating deaths of six people will stand trial together. Circuit Judge William A. Parsons on Tuesday denied defense attorneys' motion to sever the trials of Troy Victorino, 28, and 19-year-olds Michael Salas and Jerone Hunter. Parsons also said he would postpone the trial, originally set to start Jan. 3.
