    Rice makes surprise Iraq visit

    BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice vowed America would stay the course in Iraq as she made an unannounced visit on Friday to try to reduce sectarian tensions just five weeks before elections.

    DUBAI (Reuters) - An Iraqi married couple and two other men carried out the suicide bombings at three hotels in the Jordanian capital Amman which killed 57 people this week, al Qaeda in Iraq said in an Internet statement on Friday.
