    Mining Exec 'Discouraged' by Air Quality

    TALLMANSVILLE, W.Va. - Rescuers trying to reach 13 trapped miners punched a hole into the mine early Tuesday, but a company executive said he was "very discouraged" by air quality tests.

    Rescue Effort Continues at German Ice Rink

    BAD REICHENHALL, Germany - Rescuers recovered two more bodies Tuesday from the rubble of an ice-skating rink whose roof collapsed, raising the death toll to 11, including six children.

    RINGGOLD, Texas - Firefighters battling blazes across drought-stricken Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico feared conditions could worsen Tuesday as forecasters predicted high winds and drier, warmer weather.

    Natural-Gas Prices Move Lower
