Dawn Wyllie
Dawn has been creating unique works on canvas and wood for over two decades.
Her fanciful designs and flamboyant use of colors have won her praise and acclaim throughout the Tampa Bay Area and the nation.
In 1999 the mother of two boys, ages one and seven, realized a need to find kid sized furniture that was fun and creative.
Not finding anything on the market that suited her taste, Dawn decided to buy an unfinished chair and paint it herself. It wasn't long
before friends and neighbors began asking her to make them a chair, too. The rest, as they say, is history.
Why the name Büdda Babies?
When her first son was a few months old, someone mentioned that, "He looks like a little Buddha!" Well, the phrase kind
of stuck. She realized that all healthy, happy babies look like that, too. Hence the name. She changed it a bit so the
Buddhists wouldn't get upset. ;-)
